productivity over petulance

Feeling all tired and out of sorts today.
It' just one of those days i needed to be dragged out of bed (literally) by mell.
There. the scary effects of one yoga-less week for you.

i think perhaps i need to be better with my habits.
i suppose there was a time it was enough to be impeccable with your words and action. now  'habits' are to join in the game. waking earlier, sleeping earlier, being more consistent with yoga, drinking more water, in order to look and feel and BE at my best physically emotionally mentally.

indeed it's true, the learning never stops.
on days like these, nothing rings truer than those words, and i find myself struggling to accept that. it also gets harder, I've realised, the older you get.

it's taking all i can muster not to become a grumpy person right now.
I'm too grumpy, not calm enough, too excitable, lazier than allowed, household-chores-procrastinator... what else... today those days I come down hard on everyone, unforgivingly, top of that list being myself. ready to lash at anyone who toes my line
but we're all emotional creatures.
part of what's making me more pissy is that fact that i don't want to be pissy.
and the more pissy i feel, the grumpier i become and the vicious cycle begins.
i suppose it's ok to give myself off-days like that. or rather, to take it as it comes - whichever day it might be, and just try to find the silver lining in this very black black BLACK cloud.

and this it will be: today is a friday.
and it will get better. tonight, i'll eat what i want and sleep earlier so that tomorrow i may pick myself up again knowing that i gave myself a chance to recuperate from this world irritating annoying fucks. and tomorrow too will be another chance for me to start the day right.

for now, let me slowly surrender this case of grumps slowly with each step towards productivity over petulance.
to be grounded like roots and still as a rock.
grounded like roots and still as a rock.
grounded like roots and still as a rock.
grounded like roots and still as a rock.
and that, folks, will be the mantra of the day.
