perhaps it's about time i went through my list of friends and decided who should stay and who should go. those i thought were aren't, and those i thought wouldn't be are. i was watching one of the past oprah winfrey shows my mom recorded and this one was about "the secret". those of you guys who have seen the book around in borders would know what i'm talking about. in fact, it's not just in borders alone. almost every bookshop i've been in has a whole shelf and display of the book and dvd "the secret". i made me think. made me evaluate certain things i never wanted to and made me see situations in a whole different light. i mean...although i've always been known to see things differently, (some say weirdly) this programme made me remember that being different was not always a bad thing and that the only people who put different down are those who don't have the courage to be it. khalid said something to me yesterday that i kinda like. i don't know how serious he was when he said it but he said it convincinly enough to make me believe him. we were sitting at the pagoda beside the pond outside the lecture theatre waiting for mei to finish the comm skills test when he said to me " eh i realy salute you man. you've got the guts to be different." i didn't appear to pay attention to what he said. in fact, i think i pretended not to hear but....evidently i did and it was nice to know that i was being respected for being different. how different, i don't really know and i don't really care. all i care about at the moment was not being just another face in the crowd.
what would happen to a face in the crowd when it finally gets too crowded? i don't wanna
blend in.
i don't wanna be
just another girl.i don't wanna be
just some girl you picked up.(so if you've done the same to other girls, you had better start thinking twice about continuing anything on with me unless you are seriously gonna give things a chance to flourish properly.)
my phone didn't stop ringing yesterday. it seemed that the whole world was trying to contact me. sam called me before my test and asked if i knew some daniel guy from mechatronics 2nd year. i smell girlfriend trouble....aand...i'm still waiting for him to call again (as he promised) to tell me the whole complete story. the at night sarah called and we spoke for about an hour. much later Jon chia called. JON CALLED! the thing is he never calls. he would only sms me and we would communicate via sms. but he called last night and we spoke for over an hour.
he had a very deep sexy manly voice. OKAY you didn't really need to read that. it was fun talking to him. the poor boy couldn't sleep and had to run to the kitchen for panadol. we spoke about almost everything we could possibly think of talking about. his gf, my suitors, my school, my dance, my love life (which he said was sooo exciting and compared it to a korean drama), and made plans to meet up. most likely its sometime next week. yup.
then after that, sarah and i continued talking and chek meng called in. my god....we spoke from like 1 to 4am. but it was fun. it was fun talking to him, really nice. that guy surprised me big time. when i first saw him he looked like a big tough 22 year old guy. but really, after talking to him, he's really this nice sweet guy. we went to sleep at like...4? but at 7 he woke up specially to give me a wake up call. that guy...is SO SWEET. really. and yup. he's single too...newly single. just like me. ok ok...i've gtg.
i'll just leave you with sweet thoughts of chek meng...
[edit]
well neither one of us deserves the blame because opportunities pulled us away. it's not an easy thing to learn to play a game that's made for two, that's you and me. The rules remain a mystery.
